More on the water

BWB have now confirmed that they have pulled the plug to take the water level down further to -3.0m after the reservoir engineer said he was still concerned about the seepage into the toe drain at the current level. I’m afraid that the water will now start disappearing fast from our end and there’s nothing we can do about it except hope that it starts raining once the works are complete.

Worcester Head results

There were 3 crews entered for a not-cold but blustery day at Worcester Head. With the Severn flowing at near summer speed after the pronounced dry spell and a brisk head wind there was welcome news that the course had been shorted by a good mile.

Results were

N4+ Peter Newell, Adam Rhead, Andy Whale, Mark Stammers, Christopher Anton – 5th of 8
WS44+ Gemma Webb, Sarah , Kyle Goddard, Rachel Cubbin, Christopher Anton – 2nd of 2

Trent results

The S24x managed 15th place in their division and managed to hold off all the juniors – results on the Trent Head website

Trent and Worcester Heads

There will be a composite BRC/UBBC S24x (Andy Thorne, Steve Prichard, Ian Prevett) going to Trent Head on Saturday, 16th. The current plans for a large club contingent to endure the 6.5km of Worcester Head again on the 23rd.
