Next in the regatta season for the women’s coxed fours was Nottingham Regatta, at Holme Pierrepoint.
The WIM2 4+ were in a very strong heat, and came 4th in it.
The WIM3 4+ again stormed through to win their semi-final. In the final, having been up in first briefly again, they came a close fourth – with the 2nd to 4th positions being divided by less than 1.5 seconds. A very close and exciting race for all.
The crews were:
WIM2 4+ S Tasha Scott, 3 Emma Tod, 2 Sarah Gregory, B Lisa Meegan C Abigail Sedgwick
WIM3 4+ S Tasha Scott, 3 Emma Tod, 2 Louise Lane, B Lisa Meegan, C Esther Momcilovic
Many thanks to Abi from Grovesnor and Esther from CUWBC for coxing.

To kick off the regatta season, two women’s coxed fours competed at Wallingford Regatta, at Dorney Lake.
The WIM2 4+ came second in their heat, securing a place in the final where they unfortunately came 6th.
The WIM3 4+ stormed through to win their heat, avoiding the repechage and also securing a place in the final. In the final, after a slow start they rowed through all crews to be up in first place by the half-way point. A few late pushes by other crews meant they finished third, after a great row.
The crews were:
WIM3 4+ S Tasha Scott, 3 Emma Tod, 2 Cat Wood, B Shona Marsh C Carol Starkey
WIM2 4+ S Tasha Scott, 3 Emma Tod, 2 Sarah Gregory, B Lisa Meegan, C Carol Starkey
Many thanks to Carol from Worcester for coxing.
