We have now closed regatta entries having received a total of 123 entries.

Scratchings and crews without opposition have reduced this to 95 in the draw but with almost as many races as last year, so better populated events.

The draw will be available on the regatta page at 1945 tonight

Here is the list of exclusive dates for 2010 for the use of the Reservoir. On MSC days we can generally go out until 1030am, but please come off if asked to earlier. There will be no beginners’ sessions on these days.

Gloucester Head

Richard Stratton and Andy Thorne compete tomorrow in Gloucester Head in IM2.2x. The IM2.4x unfortunately didn’t have any opposition and decided to scratch rather than have a long trip for time only.

Tideway action

Recent action on the Tideway saw a first ever Birmingham entry in the Schools Head in J16.4+ which came 215th in a time of 22m55s and today the W.IM2.8+ finished 137th in a time of 21m16s. Detailed results here

Frozen Reservoir

Unfortunately the res is still frozen, so once again there will be no sessions for the following groups;

Juniors 10.30am Saturday
Beginners 10.30am Sunday

Hopefully the big thaw can now take place and rowing will commence next weekend – fingers crossed!

Cancelled Outings this weekend 09/10 January 2010

The reservoir is frozen, conditions down at the club are very dangerous therefore I am cancelling the Saturday 10.30 Junior Session and the Sunday 10.30 Beginners Session.

Liv’s junior session is still on, but everyone please take care

Festive Outings

There will be NO club sessions on 26th/27th December or 2nd/3rd January 2010. Normal sessions resume for junior recreational rowers on Saturday 9th January at 10.30am and beginners on Sunday 10th January at 10.30am.

New Years Resolution – be prompt to sessions!
