Gloucester/Ross results

After an eventful senior squad social on the Friday, the women’s squad had Saturday to rest their heads before heading off to Gloucester and Ross Regattas. Despite the best efforts of the mud, Gloucester Regatta was highly successful with the coxed four of Bex, Emma T, Sarah G, Sarah K and Tina winning their IM2 event and Bex repeating her winning ways this time with Hannah in the IM3 double! Sarah K also came a very commendable second in her single, where she finished second.
Ross regatta bought with it wind and rain – typical British Bank Holiday weather – where the IM3 coxed four of Bex, Sarah K, Vikki, Gemma and Tina lost in the first round to the eventual event winners (Ironbridge), and the coxless quad (Sarah K, Vikki, Gemma and Sarah G) faced stiff competition against Worcester racing at IM3 despite being novices! Sarah G and Bex reached the final of their IM3 double, despite having only rowed together once back in April and almost capsizing off the start!
Not a bad way to finish off the regatta season – bring on the Heads!
